Sometimes I Feel Funny

We all have days when we feel very peculiar inside and rather odd outside, days when we smack others on their fannies and whisper to our secret mouse, “I feel funny.” Hutt Nubbling is having one of those days! Will you help Hutt drift through the various moods and modes of their paranoiac day?

Before you begin cutting I suggest making a copy of your cut-out paper puppet. This copy can be your “practice” doll. Once you've figured out how the whole thing works you’re ready for the real deal! I suggest you use a very sharp knife or razor-blade when making the cut across Mr. Hutt’s neck. If your cutting implement is too dull, it will produce a ‘wrinkled’ cut, that is embarrassingly noticeable. Read all instructions before beginning.

Congratulations!
You’re the owner of
something weird!

BTW, here’s what those four strange words mean.

Rugose means “wrinkled.”

Hircine means “resembling a goat.”

Ephetic means “habitually suspending judgment.”

Sapid means “flavorsome, lively, interesting.”

Step 1

Cut out Hutt and their four heads.

Step 1 (Part 2)

When cutting out heads notice two things. First, for the base (the long neck) I cut ON THE BORDER LINE so that the line does not show, but (secondly) as I got to the head I cut outside the border line so as to have the borderline show.

Step 2

With a VERY sharp cutting implement slice the dotted line at the neck to create an opening to slide the heads into.

IMPORTANT: Do Not Slice All the Way Across. If you do, the “faceless head” falls off and there’s nothing to tuck the four other heads into. Looking at the picture, you’ll notice where I stopped cutting on each end of the dotted line.

Also notice that I cut so that the dotted line does not show beneath the slice.

Step 3

Now you’re ready to slide the heads into the slice. Again, notice how I did NOT slice all the way across the dotted line in Step 2.

Step 4

You’re done! Pat yourself on the back and tell yourself you are a real genius for figuring out how to do this!

I like to lean mine up against my books to keep evil spirits from inhabiting my reading material.

It’s staring right into your very soul.
