ABOUT THE WORK
Evolve shows a dark, beautiful, surrealistic world, teeming with biomorphic shapes able to be arranged in a multitude of ways. Not until you place the colorful oddities into the grayscale does joy and creativity come flowing into life.
Not yet ready to let a little light in? That’s ok. Go slow, place one creation at a time. Feel it out. Grow and move with it until you feel comfortable enough to add more.
Let the subtle shades of pinks, blues, greens change your perspective, mood and outlook. Almost every page of this interactive book can be maneuvered, taken away or replaced to engage the viewers story and perspective. Constructed with a whole lot of black ink(!), watercolor, white pencil, a few binder clips and a rescued wooden block, Evolve hints at the wonder of imaginary worlds both near and far.
