MEET THE ARTIST

Stephen Parks self-publishes under the moniker Constant Ritual. Constant Ritual is a small collaborative studio meeting writers, designers, and artists at the intersection of posters and publishing. Parks’ and Constant Ritual often work to co-design screenprint and risograph projects. Previous works include subjects of AI labor production, dismantlement, bodies, and atmospheres. Collaborators are encouraged to consider the format of a poster and its opportunity as a published object.

Parks’ also creates printed matter at the intersection of whole Earth systems, human interaction, and archives.

ABOUT THE WORK

Endless Height, Endless Trail is a walking and record experiment. Utilizing various trails and locations in northwest North Carolina and southwest Virginia, locations were captured along with elevation and weather data. Each specific location data generated the stochastic screen image on the verso. This project is ongoing, recognizing the activities and recordings take place on the ancestral lands of the Cherokee.
