Toasty Tuna

MEET THE ARTIST

Based out of Waynesville and focused on the joyous, Toasty Tuna’s work is predominantly led by his lifelong goal of “workin' a smile out of folks.” Toasty Tuna takes inspiration from all over including street art and terrible puns. Working mostly with wood and acrylic, he also uses repurposed materials whenever possible. Toasty Tuna has work hosted around the Asheville and Boone NC areas, most notably Horse+Hero in downtown AVL.

ABOUT THE WORK

“I believe the sandwich is truly a personal experience. No one can really tell you you're doing it wrong and the sky's the limit, honestly even further if you fancy yourself a hunk of moon cheese. The representation I have offered up is nothing fancy nor ground breaking. A very simple, common, and fulfilling standard sandwich you'd find in the humblest of kitchens. This artist book is meant to be taken apart and assembled piece by piece. Maybe grab a snack before so you don't rush it too much. Savor the experience and build with love.”
